I am a freelance writer and facilitator based in Glasgow, Scotland.
I am interested in the cultural expression of political experience and in how power operates across political and cultural space.
I write about art, literature and politics and I work to enable individuals and communities to self-advocate and discover new ways of thinking and seeing.
I am particularly interested in writing and thinking about 20th century avant-gardes, counter-cultures and the feminist movement and I work to practically apply the lessons of these histories to problems of the present, in community organising, heritage from below and the material culture of political organisations.
I deliver a range of creative workshops and practical sessions, often in collaboration with artists. I also deliver training to trade unions and activist groups on gender-based violence.
I have spoken frequently at political and cultural panel events.
You will find me in Scotland, working to end violence against women, in community heritage and in the trade union movement.
